A passion for helping people with disability is close to Chithrani Palipana’s heart.
Chithrani has a Masters in counselling, and is an enthusiastic disability advocate.
Being the mother and primary Carer to Dinesh, Chithrani is passionate about supporting carers in the community.
Dinesh has opening stated that he owes his success to his mum, and Chithrani is totally inspired by hers sons’ wonderful achievements.
“Dinesh’s struggle to come to terms with life as a quadriplegic and his triumph in gaining registration as a doctor and now a lawyer, have certainly been a real inspiration for me as his mother,” says Chithrani. “So it’s no coincidence that I am now passionate about being a rehabilitation counsellor for people with disabilities.”
With a very real understanding of caring, Chithrani is very excited about supporting more carers through The Carers Foundation Australia.
